Strategy: Sharpen CDC’s visual presence and evolve visual voice for a more connected global community by enhancing CDC’s ability to carry out core mission while creating enough flexibility to engage a variety of audiences + messaging.
Application: Utilized science-based color and shape psychology along with various months of health communication research to arrive at engaging color palettes, dynamic color families, evergreen typography pairings, and inviting graphic elements within multi-media templates.
Outcome: Refreshed logo mark and accompanying brand identity standards were rolled out globally and embraced across CDC sectors. This lead to tightened visual presence across channels and multi-media messaging, measurable traffic increase to CDC website and socials, and an increased trust among the general public through ratings.
